Praying Outside Time and Space

How many times have you heard the saying; "God can do more in a day than you can accomplish in a lifetime?"  I know I've used it hundreds of times trying to encourage people to anticipate through faith God's miracle moment in their life.  While we don't know when He will act, we do know that God hears our prayers and His timing is perfect.
In my mind’s eye I can see my friend Honi in his prayer circle.  I am absolutely sure that when he drew that circle and said he wasn't coming out that he meant it, regardless how long he would have to stay in it. That's raw faith in action!  Fed up with the status quo, unable to go any further with day old manna, and determined that the only answer was rain, you would have to draw a circle and do the same.  I am sure of it... when you are desperate you are really ready for divine action.
I read the story of a man who sized up God in prayer one day.  "God, how long is a million years to you?"  God said, "A million years is like a second."  Then the man asked, "How much is a million dollars to you?"  Again God answered, "A million dollars is like a penny."  The man smiled and said, "God, could you spare a penny?"  Listening, God smiled back and said, "Sure, just wait a second."
Praying people love to throw around the word ‘impossible’!  “God can do the impossible!” they declare, and yes, He can.  But do we really anticipate Him doing it? When Jesus walked out of the tomb, the word impossible was removed from those believers’ vocabulary.  The size of your prayers depends on the size of your God.  If your God is small, you'll pray only to the size of your own ability.  But suppose you started praying like your God has no limits. Would that change your vocabulary about size, amounts, victories, outcomes, results?
So as you pray today remember, your God exists outside space and time, and He is infinite. Maybe you and I should start praying as if we really believed that, and let’s see how BIG God really can be!
I'll meet you at the Throne,
Pastor George
